“People think dreams aren’t real just because they aren’t made of matter, of particles. Dreams are real. But they are made of viewpoints, of images, of memories and puns and lost hopes.”—Neil Gaiman (via thebookishdark)
“I’ve been an obsessive Doctor Who fan since I was a child and it persists to this very day. The BBC run a Doctor Who website and I go on almost every day to check the latest news. Doctor Who is the finest piece of television that has ever been made anywhere. They’re putting together a new TV series next year and Bill Nighy is supposed to play the doctor. I’ve been onto my agent to see if I can get a part, but she’s not keen. She says I’ll never work again if I do it. I’m proud to say, though, that I have already performed in a couple of audiobook episodes. That was heaven.”—David Tennant when asked about his favorite website. 2003 (via jarvizz)
I can imagine, on the very day he knows River has gone to The Library, the Doctor flies the TARDIS and lands right down in the datacore. And he steps outside and there's River - in the process of hooking herself up to the mainframe, preparing herself to die - and a past version of himself, unconscious and handcuffed to the wall. And the Doctor - the current Doctor, HER Doctor - will walk over to her and take her face in his hands, and she'll say "There's nothing you can do. You shouldn't even be here, you could wake up at any moment. You need to go." and, his voice cracking, he'll reply:
“What Rose brings to the Doctor’s life is completion. It’s completing a circle – he’s male, he’s alien, he’s a traveler. Between the two of them together they complement each other and discover each other. And are in love with each other – absolutely, unashamedly, unreservedly.”—Russel T Davis (via belwatson)
I was born in battle, on an astroid called Demon’s Run. I was the daughter of Amy Pond and Rory Williams, they named me Melody Pond.
Day of the Moon, Early Childhood
I was kidnapped, taken by Kavarian, a servant of the Silence to an orphanage on Earth. I was raised with only one purpose: to kill the Doctor.
Let’s Kill Hitler, Childhood and Adolescence/Young Adulthood
I escaped the spacesuit and lived on the streets, homeless, alone and dying until I regenerated and became the best friend of young Amy and Rory.
Growing up with my parents, waiting for the arrival of the Doctor.
And then I regenerated into a new form. I was the woman who had become River Song. Although I didn’t know that at the time!
And I did so with a kiss.
A kiss poisened by the Judas tree. But I was shown who River Song would be, and I saw just how much I would love him. And so I gave all my remaining lives to restore his because I knew the Doctor was worth it.
